Organizational Structure
Organizational Structure is a formal system of tasks and reporting relationships that determines how employees use resources to achieve organizational goals. Dixon (2004) Defines organizational structure as "the established parttern of relationship among the parts of the organization".
If customers are not satisfied, chances are great that the fault is with the organization structure. While the organizing function refers to decisions managers make, organizational structure reflect the customers.
There are two types of organizational structure:
- Formal Structure and
- Informal Structure
