“I did pretty well on the exam yet still failed.” Have you ever made a statement like this? If you answered yes, you must read this article all the way through.

You may have written the exam properly, but you neglected to notice minor errors that cost you a lot of points.

One of the reasons why students fail exams is because of this. What are these costly errors you must avoid during examination? See the list below:

When writing exams, students make the following mistakes:

1. STARTING WITH DIFFICULT QUESTIONS:

Another costly error students make is ignoring simple questions in favor of attempting tough ones initially.

This is a terrible concept that you should never consider. “Why shouldn’t I solve the harder ones when my brain isn’t overwhelmed and come back to the easier ones?” you may ask.

Consider the following reasons why you should not do it: It’s a waste of your time.

-If you solve the easy ones first and are confident that you will get them right, it keeps your body engaged and improves your brain function for the more harder ones.

If you solve the harder ones first and don’t get them, you’ll be frustrated that you won’t be able to solve even the supposedly easyones.

-Ask yourself how likely it is that you will get the harder questions right when you won’t have time to solve easier problem.

Have you now understood why you should not solve tough issues first, as well as the consequences of doing.

What to do: Begin with the easier questions. It will assist you in obtaining sufficient marks and saving time to return to problematic one's.

2. WHEN THE WRONG QUESTION WAS READ:

You can’t possibly give the correct response to the incorrect question. What exactly do I mean by this? Examine some of the questions that contain the word “NOT.” “Which of the following is not a verb?” you might be asked. and you are given several possibilities

(a) Read a book (b) Jump (d) Write.

Many students will select choice A without considering the other options. Why? Because they misunderstood the question to be “Which of the following is a verb?”

I was a victim of this incidence once. I discovered it was due to fear or rushing through the inquiry.

What to do: Read each question at least twice to ensure that you understand it.
